Specifications of the Lenovo ThinkPad E440 The screen lid has a soft touch feel to it. Lenovo’s ThinkPad E440 has matte fingerprint-proof casing in black color. Both models have a default screen resolution of 1366×768 pixels and optional touchscreen support. Instead, the maximal is so called HD+, which translates to 1600×900 pixels. Unlike its larger 15.6-inch sibling, the E440 doesn’t provide Full HD 1080p screen resolution. The ThinkPad E440 sports the 4th Generation of Intel Core “Haswell” processor options including the powerful quad-core i7, Intel HD 4600 integrated graphics, 8GB of RAM as maximal capacity, choice of mechanical hard drives and Flash-based solid state drives, and built-in DVD writer. Durable metal screen hinges, spill resistant keyboard, and fingerprint reader are still present, as well as the TrackPoint pointing stick. Absence of Intel vPro system management and lack of rugged design puts the E440 lower in the hierarchy than the T series T440, T440s, or T440p. The Lenovo ThinkPad E440 is a 14-inch notebook PC aimed at small business users on a budget.
